Anyone out there play a musical Instrument? What do you got? :cool:
I can play a little Guitar and Bass. Mostly rhythm Guitar with a few lead riffs. I never learned to read music and I'm kicking myself now. Thank God for Tabs. Guitar - acoustic/electric - mainly for me. Been playing 16 yrs. or so. Acoustic is my main love anymore.
Also play drums and bass. Sitting behind a drum kit for an hour is a great stress reducer!

I will admit I have considered getting a little 5 piece set and playing again. The drum set I sold was a 12 piece kit with sabian symbols. I played a few gigs but got tired of all the A$$holes that just wanted to get groupies and drugs so I quite.
Why Larry you thinking of getting a band together? :mrgreen:

I play a little acoustic and electric guitar mostly rhythm. I'm pretty much self-taught and like Wallery-- Thank God For Tabs.
And thank you Wallery for the tab site, since the lawyers shut down Olga it been a lot tougher to find tabs on the Internet.
I haven't had anybody to play with in a long time, so my interest has waned recently.

I bought a guitar and amp just a few weeks ago, trying to get back into things after a long lapse of time (YEARS!).
I plan on getting a bass soon too.
Wow! I'm surprised we have all this hidden talent on the board! I don't know about starting a Band but maybe a Jam Session or two would be ok! Something to kill time until the next shoot. Any ideas? :cool:

i have been playing bass for about 9 years, not seriously just kinda killing time. i got my girlfriend a gibson sg for x-mas, so we have been playing quite a bit lately.

I play a little electric and some acoustic. Mainly self-taught - can't read music, thank God for tabs etc. I cut my teeth on Nirvana and Rammstein, and am familiar with a few Metallica songs. Like softer stuff on the acoustic, like Simon and Garfunkel, or America. "Ventura Highway" was the song that inspired me to pick up guitar. :)

I am sure that if there will be plenty of room if anybody wants to sit in, if we play electric I will be playing a very old VOX amp (my Marshall is being repaired) and my fingers will need a break; I have not played regularly for years and I probably don't have the stamina to play no-stop for very long. The only thing we are trying to achieve is to have a good time so if I blow a few chords I apologize in advance, because it all in good fun.

I'm getting psyched, so far it's just the two of us. I have an electric guitar with an amp, 2 acoustic 6 strings ( one is a yard sale special, but the action isn't too bad) and a 12 string acoustic. Unless anybody else shows any interest, just bring what ever you want to play. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to drag anything across town and down the steps if nobody is there to use it.

Jim Thanks Jim and Lisa for the great time at the Jam Session last night. I really enjoyed your hospitality. The gang sure missed out on all the fun. It was a party like atmosphere. Hey guys Jim and Lisa have the perfect entertainment / game room set up that most of us would envy. We had a blast playing guitars. I learned a few new songs. Jim’s wife Lisa has a great voice and she sang along and we sounded pretty good. We’re not ready for concert yet but, with a little practice… lol. Jim’s still the reining champion of his Pool Table. And he came very close to beating a AA/Master dart player and only by a wire. I had a really fun evening with you guys! Thanks again I hope we can do it again sometime. :mrgreen:

I got my daughter a guitar for Christmas (her choice) and dad also picked up a bass [Punker]
[Worth]I think that's really cool of you 7 getting the kid into playing the Guitar. You'll have fun watching her improve her skills and the day will come when you can't keep up with them. (That's what happen to me with my son). He laughs at my style now days and so do I sometimes! LOL. I'm the student now! It's amazing how fast kids can pick up on music. Well, after working two 60 hourish weeks, I figured I need to reward myself. :)
Bought' me a Digitech Digital Delay and a Dunlop Crybaby whah pedal, power adaptors for both, two 1' instrument cables to tie everything together, and an extra set of Ernie Ball Top Heavy Bottom strings.

Delay + whah = awesome Delay + whah + distortion = friggin awesome. [M2]
I just bought a compressor for my bass, I have one pedal, a Boss DS-1.
I'd like to check out that delay ;)

The delay is awesome, I can delay from 10ms to 4 seconds, loop, reverse the input, and play with eighter a tape or mod delay tone.

I found I get different tone if I go Hot Head > Digidelay > Crybaby.
The whah is more distinct, problem being the Crybaby doesn't allow gain to pass through it, so if I want distortion (which is a must) I need to keep it like Crybaby > Digidelay > Hot Head.
My dad has a two channel Peavy amp that would allow me to put the Crybaby on one channel and everything else on the other. Like Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine.
I just received the compressor pedal for my bass.. pretty cool so far.
still shopping for a delay.
anyone run across a Fender J-bass for a good deal, lemme know ;)
and no Squires!!!!
MIM is ok, but would rather have US made, if can find one.
