My 1990 Dakota is begging to be set on fire.
One injector went bad. Bought new over priced injector because I had nothing to drive. Stupid new injector won't seat. Didnt have Vaseline so I tried astro glide, motor oil, then 80-90. No go on the injector seating. Picked up over priced o-ring kit from Napa. Still won't seat. Get mad and pound with socket. Fail. Broke the plastic clip on top. Pull the other good, stock injector to mic body of it vs aftermarket injector. Dont get around to micing it. Sneeze and send new and old injectors and o-rings flying every where.
Fuck.

I love this truck too. Its a 1990 5 spd, 2wd regular cab with 50miles on it. Cost me 300 bucks.
I have a 2.5 TDI Land Rover motor and a T-56 that maybe some day I'll get the balls and slap that motor and trans in the truck.

Seems to me that the drier something is, the more it needs a little 'glide. ;)

I don't even want to know why you have Astro Glide around the house.......[Ignore][Ignore][Ignore]

You don't?
You don't?
don't need it. sheer manliness creates natural lubrication even full synthetic mobile one can't match.

Had a buddy of mine start driving my car on a road trip, and he wasn't used to an automatic on the column.. 75 miles an hour in first gear led to blown radiator hoses. The replacement hoses we eventually got was a very tight fit so it took a generous dose of the only lubricant the nice couple who stopped to help had, purple love lube.

Returned the BWD, actually a repackaged crap Standard Motor Projects injector to Advance and got my money back. Went to Napa and ordered an Echlin.
Picked it up today and hey surprise, another repackaged SMP.
What happened to quality like bosch, deplphi, and the like? No one even carries that unless you order online which is what I'm going to do.
