I wonder why they give in to this stuff. It is not like they will lose business if they don't...
idiots. they need to throw out a big FU to the anti's.
gun owners, and hunters cover hundreds of millions in taxes a year to protect our outdoors. those fucking hippies recycle and carry their shit home with them and turn it in to REI for hippy club points. fucking hippies.

+1 damned hippie scum!

you know...Cartman really had the right idea. (if you don't know what I speak of you need to so to south park studios and watch the hippy episodes where cartman tries to eradicate them.)
Bullying telephone calls and emails? Really?
I'm trying to think of what the content of these calls and emails would have to be to make me back down. If I were a business owner, the first thing I would need to ask myself would be which response would support my customers and therefore be better for my bottom line.
Even then, I don't really like to be threatened or bullied just out of general principle. [Coffee]

Not really trying to defend them, but I can't find this anywhere on the NRA-ILA website. Anyone got a link? I even googled "NRA Gander Mountain Wisconsin" and all I find are raging posts on forums, and did the same search on the NRA-ILA website and come up with nothing there either. Any chance this is a spoof or something? I used to work at a Gander Mountain store and we used to sign people up for the NRA on site. Maybe things have changed but I'm just REALLY surprised by this.
Edit: Strike that, Reading more of the forums the reports are coming from WI members that received the email from NRA-ILA, Sad to see for sure.

I stopped down there a few weeks ago to pick up my annual parks pass for my trip. the place was CRAWLING with green peace loving, dreadlock hearing types. I got a few looks in my "attire"[Tooth] (I didn't fit in...)

You must have gone in there wearing shoes and hardly anything made from hemp.

And freshly showered.
Screw Gander. They won't get any of my money(not like they saw much of it anyway)
The thing that really bothers me about this: everytime an "Anti" group succeeds with something like this it emboldens them. They become more adamant and obnoxious.

That sucks. Gander should have stood up to the pressure.
I live close to and work in Boulder and it's a weird place. Seems like everybody is always doing yoga and eating yogurt. My work has a couple new hires that are hippie types that are pretty much useless. They show up late, leave early and they fucking smell.
One good thing about REI is that they'll take back your broken old gear. I brought back my broken Jetboil I bought 8 years ago. Guy wasn't happy to give me my money back but they say 100% satisfaction. I was only about 98% satisfied with my broken product.

One more email to be sent to corporate and one more reason not to shop there. [Bang][Bang][Bang][Bang]
You know, we have nobody to blame but ourselves. When is the last time WE (myself included in that) took the phones, handed out flyers, marched, protested or anything else in FAVOR of gun rights (or many other things we believe in)? Conservatives are notorious for NOT getting involved until it is nearly too late - and even then we seem to do it in half measures. The jobless-stinky-dirty-nasty-hippies have nothing better to do than take up a cause and this is why the vocal minority seems to always get their way.
