Are there any manufacturers that sell left handed precision/long range rifles that can be upgraded and modified. I own a browning .270 WSM but I was told before the site crash that they aren't known for their long range accuracy. I don't mind shooting right handed bolt guns but I prefer leftie. Thanks in advance!

Remington has LH rifles in the varmint line , typically a special order deal only . There are other options as well but all pretty much fall in the special order category as well .

If all you are doing is shooting prone there are advantages to shooting a RH action as you never have to come off of the pistol grip to run the gun and you can see the loading port while in position . If shooting in other positions it is easier to run the LH gun . 3 of my rifles are RH and 1 is LH and the only time it is an issue is trying to go fast in a position other than prone .

IMO LH AR's are an answer to a question that didn't need asked . The only thing it provides are parts that aren't standard that are hard to find if they need replaced and issues mounting optics because its not a true LH gun and the bolt release is still in the same spot so the dust cover opens up instead of down . Of all the rifles I've shot and owned , M16A1's to flat top AR's , I've never had an issue with fire controls or getting hit with brass .

Almost all LH guns are marketing ploys and don't serve any purpose that isn't already filled with a RH gun . The only thing that is a necessity in my experience is an ambi safety on an 1911 , petty much all the others can be used as is . Does changing the safety's on some weapons help ? Yes it does but it is not needed to run them properly .

Two highly modified Left Handed M700 rifles my brother had built:

Run away. Lawton has had some serious issues lately.

For a custom action try Borden, Stiller and Stolle.

HS precision builds custom left hand rifles, on I believe remington 700 actions. Blaser makes them as well. They are very pricey for both. I have a few lh 700s that are tack drivers, along with a couple of Savages that are very close in accuracy.
