Anyone know what they are going for locally. I saw them at Specialty in the springs but did not check pricing.

Check the lipsey's website. They are the only distributor that has them to ship out. Then start calling.
One of the stores that is in Parker had a few when they first came out.

I saw them there too. $569 for the Gen 4's, but the Gen 3's they had (they had a Gen3 19) were just $520.
I Just picked up a gen 3 FDE today at the firing kind in Aurora for 529.00. THey still have some 17's,23's and gen 4 19's. I bought up the last gen 3 :)

So the 17 was a gen 4?
They have the 17 in gen 3 and 4, I think the gen 4 was 549.00..

Now thats a good price
Yeah, I was really surprised at the prices and selections. I am just a huge fan of gen 3's but they had a really decent selection. The G19 FDE was the last 19 so I put it on layaway last night and picked it up this morning lol. Felt like a kid! first FDE I ever had. Now I want a holster, but don't want to mess up my new gun with wear marks lol..

Yknow if you dip the frame in vinager and lay it in the sun it will give you any color you want...
On a hot day:
About 2hr gets you OD
about 3.5hr gets you FDE...
If it isn't working you need a 'hotter' vinager

I got my Gen4 17 FDE from Specialty, and have been using it in a holster, no wear marks that I can see. It's factory FDE, not the gunsmith-performed Tan duracoat they had on other, more expensive "custom" glocks available.
*still wish they had factory OD instead of FDE*
