Not even any bullet holes, if I get sent back in time to Normandy I want to be on boat 1188.
Neat. Wonder what the minimum bid is. I'm guessing it's more than $100.

That is awesome.
Very cool, something seems weird though that. At the top of the listing it says its in Elk Horn, KY then in the body of the ad it says, Portland, ME??
It is cool though none the less. Boy if that thing could only talk, I bet it would have some stories to tell
Is it me or did the ad look like there was another one sitting next to it?
Pretty neat though.

Love to cruise cherry creek res in that!

It is just an armored raft with a gate in the front. There is no engine or rudder. You would be stranded in the middle of the reservoir and need a motorboat to pull it back ashore.

Interesting find!
Not sure if this one was in Normandy though..... The only LCVP 1188 I found in the navy record show that it was assigned to the pacific fleet.

Would also explain why there are no bullet holes. This thing would be worth a butt-ton if it were used in the Normandy invasion and didn't have a single bullet hole in it because if you put Chuck Norris in it it would scare off hurricanes with the amount of Epicness encapsulated in a single sea-going vessel.

hmmm...I'd rather be in any of them, or better yet, climbing the cliffs at Pointe Du Hoc. History is much more fun when your making it, not reading about someone else doing it.
