I have been seeing some ads about a gun show being held on June 24 & 25 at Freedom Financial Services Expo Ctr. located at 3650 N. Nevada in the Springs.
Has anyone in the Springs and Springs area ever attended one of these shows at this location and if so, what was it like - some actual firearms and shooting related stuff or mainly jerkey, toys and junk?? This should perhaps be posted down in the gun show section but it will get a lot more feed back up here. Thanks.
I've been to it. It's a good mix of stuff. I did buy 1k of 9mm and an FNS from it. There's a few accessories vendors and a few firearms dealers, but not as many as the Tanner or Prospectors shows.

Hey Bob,
I have attended that show a couple times, its pretty decent. Most of the usual suspects are there. I would say just as good as Sertoma.

I think it's the worst show in town. Expensive to get in, mil is not free. Lots of crap that no gun related. I only once a year to this show, if even that.

Well damn, one guy says it is decent and another guy says it's the worst in town. Now, I just don't know if it's worth the 300 mile round trip to check it out myself. Oh, how "expensive" is the admission and maybe they will have a senior rate for the admission....... [ROFL3][ROFL1][ROFL3]

RK show is crap. Sertoma's not great but better than the arts and crafts show.

So, is this really an RK show that is being held June 24/25th at Freedom Financial Expo in the Springs???
they have a couple of billboard signs for it down here, I was wondering if it was worth the trip as well.

I guess it's okay if you're going to be in town, but I wouldn't make the trip. I don't want to make the trip and I live in town. It has been 8 months though.

My wife mentioned to me today about the two of us going to this show next week.
Personally, I quit Sertoma and and any other local shows long ago... Way too many beef jerky and candle dealers for me.
Guess the biggest reason was "no CCW" and metal detectors. Seems contradictory to me and wont support... Could be "out of touch"?

Metal detectors????????
Most of the shows are only "so-so". I have picked up a few items - mostly cast bullets , and brass. If there is a new pistol I want to see how well it will fit my hand I will hit the show early the first day. I figure I go to 1 -2 shows a year for the Springs and maybe one show a year for Denver. Would I travel 300 miles to go to one of these shows? I don't think so.

That's exactly what I have been thinking. However maybe I could still kinda justify the trip by being able to do some BSing with Alex, Jordan and a few other fellow CO-AR15 members IF they show up.[Tooth]

That sign is a friendly suggestion.
I have been attending Colorado Springs gun shows since the 80's and I have never walked through a metal detector to get in to any of them..
