Couldn’t get a “good” picture of it going through my yard today. They don’t stay in one place very long. Glad I got A pic though.

You need to get closer next time. He's blurry because he was moving, next time bait him with the neighbors poodle. Karl. [roll]

Not a mountain lion. Small, only a little over 2 feet long. Almost no tail. Spotted. Didn't get a good look at the ears, was looking for the camera.

I would say it was a bobcat. Did he look like this?

I'm guessing bobcat. Their spots are usually a little more prominent than a lynx. They also apear a little darker and more yellowish. But it's hard telling with that photo.

Why? $500 a pop, that's why! :P That's a really good price for a Bobcat. Most dealers won't pay nearly that price. A lot of fur is auctioned off from trappers for next to nothing, around $100.00 to $250.00 skinned. Then the savvy buyer then will have it tanned for $20.00 and from this point is where the best return for the buck comes from. From a pair of Ear Muffs to a Bed Spread. Big Bucks on the Blanki! The single Bobcat rug can bring around $500.00 but it will cost you a few to get it to that point but, of course you knew all that when you pulled the trigger.

can you all shoot cougers here ,in oregon there over populated ,in alot of areas you cant find deer or elk because the cougers hve killed so much ,enough that tags are I think 12 $ ,its illegal to hunt them with dogs ,but fish snf willdlife has let that happen in some areas .honestly the prvaling opinion among hunters out there I know is shoot first and ask questions later I think in some areas syou can even get 2 tags
