We had a wicked thunderstorm earlier today with crazy lightning. About an hour after the storm we get the call "prepare to evacuate immediately". A house got hit 1/2 a mile from mine and caught fire. It was spreading up the hill and in the trees. So the wife and I start loading up the Jeeps like crazy. I could here the trucks and smell the smoke. Pretty wierd feeling.

The sheriff just told me they got it contained and no need to leave, but we should remain on alert in case it flares up. We got super lucky that isn't real windy. It's beer thirty NOW.

Jebus! I just walked in the door, after being gone since yesterday afternoon. Any word since the sheriff's report? I didn't see anything on SB, when I drove by, at 2:00...except two emergency vehicles.

I heard about it. Knew "about" where it was (which street) and thought of you. SUCKS that it happened, but GLAD to hear it wasn't your house. Was hoping that they would get it contained quick.

This was up off of Wedgewood on Lynnwood. I just drove by again and there's still a bunch of trucks over there. I don't see or smell any smoke anymore, so I assume they doused it.
