My youngest is 20 now. There is a thread out right now about regrets... My biggest regret is living the "Cats In The Cradle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s5r2spPJ8g)" life and not spending enough time with my kids as they were growing up. If I could take back all of those years and start over I would.
I know you're tired and you just want to spend a little time doing your stuff, but learn from my mistakes - take every opportunity to spend with your kids, never stop telling them you're proud of them (I can only recall my dad saying that to me 2 times) and tell them constantly that you love them.

Very well said! I have had my son since he was 8 months old, couldn't even think of another guy raising my son. I have taken him to work with me, called off, put things on hold just so I could see him grow! I wouldn't change a min for all the time I have been able to spend with him.....

14 and 11 on the kiddos here. I mostly finished painting the outside of the house yesterday so I could take today off.
I'll be calling in to work some day this week so I can take the daughter to the range to do some shootzin.

Happy Father's day everyone. The video was awesome but the "man scape" reference was a bit much.

Wife bought me a BIG bag of beef jerky. I might not be able to eat it all in one sitting...but I'll certainly make a heroic effort.

Man, I hear those shirts have all kinds of electrical problems. Repairs to that shirt are probably going to nickle and dime you to death.

No way. Too much traffic. Which reminds me...I have a nice supply of Blue Bell ice cream in the freezer.

Hmmm. No wonder it took 20 minutes to open. So much for rest and relaxation today.[Bang]

My wife got me a nice, simple smoker to see if all my talk about smoking meat is just that, talk. I'm excited to give it a go this coming weekend.

It's a Brinkmann Smoke 'N Grill. I've read up on some of the basic modifications that most complete to get it running better. I'll cure it Friday night and then get a small brisket to do on Saturday.

Remember the good times with your father and the wonderful times with Byte Jr. - and those yet to come.
It's not 100% effective at anesthetizing the pain, but it helps.
