Ok that's all I was looking for, I've heard his price on reloads was $120/1000 from 2 people now and I've never seen a price difference that large between reloads and new so I thought I would ask.
On a different note I heard the exchange on the plastic ammo can is $15, I only got $3 ??

has to be reloads. I paid 220 per 1000 9mm new just a few weeks ago.

New M855 runs $320 + $17 shipping at Freedom Munitions online...when they have it. It's $305 for reman and that is currently in stock.
I have never heard of AmmoKan...$120/1000 9mm is a good deal.

That's walmart prices for WWB 100 bulk packs
You guys need to save your brass and find a friend that reloads. Save money and end up with 10x better ammo.

+1 on that, going to take a class on reloading myself, had a friend give me one of his reloaders and will give me something to do while I watch I love lucy or some such. I have been saving brass for over a year now and am ready to start.

For me no tv, no radio, no outside distractions at all . When i reload the only thing i have on is lights, and one of the shop doors open.
I've paid 180-190 for 1000 9mm from them at a couple different Tanner shows. I didn't get any this past weekend, so not sure what their price is these days. The last time I bought any was at least 2 or 3 shows ago, but i've never seen it for less than $180.

The one that always gets my wife is when shes walking around in the basement barefoot and steps on that stray spent small rifle primer that jumped out of the can! She doesn't find the amusement in it that I do![ROFL1]

I'm in the shop about 75' from the house, how misc reloading crap ends up in the washer is anyone guess. BESIDES, IF she checked my pockets BEFORE doing laundry this would not be an issue.
Let them smoke & vote, this is what happens.

Where is this places?
Anybody familiar with a place in Littleton called AmmoKan, or Ammo-Kan, or High Country Sports? Got some interesting info today and trying to find some details about them. Website only has the name, nothing else.
Good people. They do most of their business through gunshows, and then over the phone.
Interested in hearing more feedback.
these folks are top notch! they are honest, hardworking people and more that fair with customers. I have know them since they first setup at Tanners, they have some interesting things in the works that I am not at liberty to talk about.
Here's their Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ammo-Kan-llc/290916780967549?sk=page_map
I'm seeing discussions on several forum sites- one of them discusses some bad reloaded ammunition tnhat ruined their gun. Apparently Ammo Kan LLC purchases bulk reloads, dumps them in cans and resells them. To be fair, Ammo Kan was striving to make the situation right.
Another forum site in OK is also making worried noises about the reloads.
Here's a discussion on prices from earlier this year at this site: http://www.ar-15.co/threads/54598-Ammo-Kan-ammo-prices
I've looked at the whois information:

The thing that makes me wonder is that the domain was registered in February of 2012, which tells me that it may be under new ownership. The only Ammo Kan that I can locate is out of the Grand Junction/Fruita area.
Located on Norwood (off of Santa Fe south of 470). If you do Facebook they have a page that is a "little" better than their website. Seems they can be a little hard to get a hold of and not to responsive to messages or e-mails. Went by 6 months ago, no one there and just haven't made my way back, yet.

THAT explains why I couldn't locate much on them.

Excellent people. They have supported our Boy Scout shooting programs. I know they don't produce all their ammo themselves but all I've gotten from them has been reasonably priced and shot well.
Same road Prairie Arms used to be on, just off Santa Fe. They have had steady lines at their Tanner tables since the panic began. When OD Green raised their 9mm prices to $369/1000, Ammo Kan was selling theirs for $199. I'm sure it was likely remanufactured, but it's still hard to pass up. Last show it was up to $239. They were also selling reman .223 for $500/1000. They're good people & always seem to offer fair prices. They are always set up next to R&S at the Tanners.
Interesting, thanks guys!
think my buddy has been through almost 5k of .223 from them.....shoots good
Storefront open to the public?
I would call first. Last time I dropped by, they were only able to get supply in for the gun shows. I was checking for friends & was told they should drop by the Tanner early Saturday.
they are set up across from me at the tanner . they are good, honest , hard working folk . they also have fair pricing so much so that they often are bombarded the second the show opens
I have bought 9mm and 7.62 Soviet from them at a couple of gunshows and have always been treated well and zero problems with ammo. I would have grabbed some .223 ammo from them last TGS but they said they weren't getting it there for a couple of hours and the line was over 20 deep 5 minutes after the doors opened.
I've bought from them at gunshows and have been very happy with both the products and the people. GTG
This is my experience and opinion as well. +1 from me.

Good guys to deal with. I have bought quite a bit from them, and haven't had any issues. Can't say that about the Walmart Tula crap...

I have purchased ammo from them in the past in various calibers and never had any trouble. Sales people were friendly and the prices were always below "market". I have tried calling them about direct purchases and was never able to reach anyone by phone.
So, all these purchases you guys have made were at gun shows?

I have seen them numerous times at the co springs shows and that is where I bought mine. They make a point to post that they are not into price gouging and from the lines recently, that is true. None the less their prices have gone up too.

My dealings were only at Gun Shows. Tanner, both Denver & Pueblo, and the smaller shows in Colorado Springs.

All my purchases were at shows but I went in the store yesterday and they said they were getting a load in on thursday
and to call them first to see what came in. Also they said they were getting in some AR pmags and were charging $20 each which was way under what they were going for at the show in loveland over the weekend.
