In Vegas we had AC and she bitched about the heat even with her inside job in the AC so she had to move here where its "cooler" now she wants me to drop the cash on AC, hell no! In a work truck no less so it has to run and not drive. Temp guage got up to 3/4 hot and even when driving wouldn't drop lowered then a line or two over half. This of course robs me of a shit ton of HP on this inline 5 engine since the fan cluck is locked up and it sounds like I am about to take off.

We have one small window AC for the 1700' house. It is a Bi-level and if you cool it off good at night then shut it up and turn on the AC it does pretty well.
Today it got to 95 here and I was doing fine. Got home at 3pm and it was 74 inside. At 6pm it was 76 upstairs and cooler downstairs but then the daughter that is visiting started the washing machine and the dryer.[Bang] So I just went ahead and opened it up. got to 84 quick.
Just like anything one has to think. Want to run the dryer/dishwasher? do it between 11pm and 5am.

I hear ya. I have AC, but I will literally go broke if I keep the house how I like all the time. Most nights, we try to open windows and use fans to cool us. I think tonight might be a bit warm, despite that.
Last night was pretty cool, but I still kept waking up all night soaked in what I would assume to be sweat.
Also, HTC weather app is telling me it's 97 right now in Aurora.

104 in Pueblo yesterday.
We don't have AC in our house, but usually it stays about 20 degrees below outside temp (we have lots of trees), EXCEPT during canning season.
I'm on my way to Lowe's in a few minutes to buy a big swamper, cause no salsa is going to get made this summer if I don't.
My family left Kentucky in 1888 for Colorado. After visiting there when my SIL was in the Army, I couldn't understand why my family left there.
UNTIL, one 4th of July weekend we volunteered to fly back and help SIL build a fence. I was never so glad to step out of the plane at COS airport.

Back when I was doing TKD we shared a space in a gym with the aerobics class. They would be in there first. This was on the top floor and there was one vent for building ac. We would show up, close all the windows and torture ourselves. During the summer it would get up past 90 in there while we worked out. Wasn't a day that I did not come out of that class with my entire uniform completely soaked.

My instructor was retired Marine from Vietnam. His response was always "You think you are going to get to chose when you fight? It's going to be cold, it's going to be hot, you are not going to be hydrated or stretched out and someone is going to attack you."
In the winter we would open the window. This is in WI too. He would throw out his back and come teach class anyways.

I got to a house this morning right at 8 am and her house was 87 degrees and complaining about how hot it was. Hmmm ac isn't working yet you keep the Windows closed when its 30 degrees cooler out side? Mmmkay.

It's so hot out I saw two trees fighting over a dog [ROFL1]
I am not looking forward to working in this kind of heat all summer!!!

Me neither brother.
Last summer was the last summer of not having A/C for me. The A/C costs a lot to run but 73 inside while it's 100+ outside is definitely worth the expense.

I hear ya. I hate running my A/C, but right now it is necessary..... Not excited to see my bill later this month...
