I'm not much of a pro baseball fan but you have to wonder how much more taxpayer money the feds are going to burn up chasing these athletes.

If you look at the majority of cases EH & Co have pursued they have been a total waste of taxpayer money.
Besides, who cares if knuckleheaded athletes banged up before they played?

EH&Co, the by product of an Ineptocracy.[LOL]

There are different ways to juice. I believe he was focused on endurance by increasing white blood cell counts, and not muscle strength.

I'm glad. hopefully this sends a message to stop wasting tax payers money chasing potential steroid users. leave that up to the professional organization and let them bear the cost.

I don't think the message that they were trying to send was not to do steroids. It sounded to me like the message was don't lie while under oath to the congress.

Given Holders performance before Congress numerous times that message means exactly DICK!

Why in the hell were they even having congressional hearings in the first place, show me where congress has the right to hear testimony on private situations, if they juiced they violated a civil contract

No arguments here. I hate the way our government is being run. You forgot that our government is way smarter than us and are above the law......or that's what those assholes think anyways.

As far as why they were having steroids hearings? Who knows, but irregardless if you lie to them then you deserve what you get. Clemens was guilty. Just another case of good things happen to horrible people.

Bonds got a minor slap on the wrist.

both have their hall of fame chances in severe jeopardy. I wouldn't vote for bonds, but I would for Clemens.

lying to congress is not lying anymore. It is just not releasing all of the truth!
Eric Holder can attest to that statement.

I am a fan of baseball. I don't like the fact players are doping. With that said. Why was this even before Congress? Shouldn't baseball monitor it themselves?

It went before a congressional committee because the house and senate are inept at doing anything that is actually beneficial, for the people, so they went after baseball.
You actually want our elected officials to do something productive[ROFL1][ROFL2][ROFL3][LOL][ROFL3][ROFL2][ROFL1]

One in ten houses in my neighborhood is in foreclosure & vacant and the Congress thinks it is appropriate dwell on this trivial matter? We need to do to our government what we did to the Iraqi government of Saddam Hussein...

So this is something that I always think about the HOF.

The following instructions are included on the ballot for the HOF

Voting shall be based upon the player’s record, playing ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character, and contributions to the team(s) on which the player played.

I would say that Clemens lacks character, sportsmanship and character. The same can be said for Bonds and whoever else cheated. The whole argument of numbers in invalidated by this in my opinion.

Just depends on who your team is. I am a yankees fan through and through. I loved watching the rocket pitch for the yanks. I got a ball signed by him when they played the Rockies and I was able to scrounge up the money for tickets...albeit the very top row.
