How about an "unopened" crate of 10 Chinese SKS rifles:

I don't know about anyone else, but there are a few questions I'd want answered before throwing down five grand on something I can't see...especially SKS rifles.

He could have got them in the 80's and just left them in the case. They sent them in military crates here he just seemed to get them unopened. What is more insane is that he wants $500 per norinco.

So this guy wants someone to pay $500 a pop for 10 rifles that are only worth $300 each and he's not going to let you look at them until AFTER you buy?

I dont always buy sks's but when I do I prefer unopened cases of possible Bravo Sierra.

Exactly. Unopened crate or not they're still just Norinco SKS rifles. Cool factor only adds so much to the value.

I think the $5K price tags comes from the novelty factor of the "unopened crate of SKS's" which I think is kind of cool. It's like the consecutive serial numbered guns that people pay a premium for. It seems stupiud to me but to each their own.

I started off by posting about an unopened crate of SKS rifles a guy was selling for $5k. I posted in the wrong forum, noted my screwup, and reposted in this forum.

This thread then got moved here by a mod after I already posted the other. They should probably be combined. But it just wasn't that important...

It wasn't that long ago when they were only $50 and a M1 Carbine was only $100. Soviet made Ak's were only $150
Those were the good old Pre-Clinton Days!

Of course Gas was under $1/gallon and premium ammo was $5-10/box

This...I wish I would have known SKS's and AK's were gonna go up in price so much. Woulda spent every dime I had buying them up. Damn you Bill Clinton...
