Pretty cool. Wierd, but cool. It appears you do nice work!

This is way cool. I enjoyed the progress shots off of the website. Killer work. This would look killer with a ford dropped beam in the front too.

Oh Hell ! Is nothing sacred nowdays? Man... next thing you know they'll be stuffing a 260 or 289 motor into an AC Ace. Geesh... the crazy things people think of...

On a side note - NICE metal work !

I hear you! Not like I'm a Corvair fan, but come on!

So the customer who owns it has been dreaming this project up for like 30+ years. The actual car we started with, his parents bought off the show room floor! Super nice car, needed some front floor pans was all.

I told him to go to the junk yard and just a junker because of the all the moifacation that needs to happen! Oh well!

Been a crazy project. Should be heading to paint to by the end of july

Very nice metalworking there. Definitely unique. Weird, but unique. I am anxious to see the finished project.

Tin, you are a true artist in a craft that is dying a slow death.
The art of manually manipulating metal.
Weird yes, but masterfully crafted.
Beautifully done.

You got a lot of work done since I was up there.

The more I look at it the more I think it would look badass with a bubble top roof, a straight axle front with some pizza cutters, and a shitload of metal flake.

Just not feeling the tricycle.

HBARleatherneck

yes, a weird 32 highboy kinda thing would be cool. or weird, whichever.

It reminds me of the Revelle models when I was a kid, they had a bubble topped roadster that I believe was a George Barris concoction with a similar look.
But the trike aspect puts this one in a class of its own.

Now that would be funny. Go through a pizza shop drive through while driving that thing painted as a pepperoni slice.

I predict that sometime years from now the car will change hands many times and end up as a pizza delivery vehicle... only to be stored in a barn for eons then when cars are nuclear powered this will be unearthed and restored then put into a museum. The information plaque will state the metal work that was required to achieve this kind of beauty is no longer available as the craft was lost back when the apes took over the planet.

You know what is actually funny about that.....

The owner came up, when we initially started talking about doing it, with Revelle models that he had cut up, body worked, and painted over the yrs!!

He put a lot of thought into this! 30 yrs plus!

I think many did this back in the day. Having owned a few corvair's to include a crown kit (V8) I still have two model kits that was something I wanted to build. Take your Corv8 http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/ac44/jerrymrc/cars/001Medium.jpg And mate it with the flairs and spoilers from something like this. :) http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/ac44/jerrymrc/cars/1975-bmw-30-csl-front-picture.jpg

Ok gents.

The Corvair Trike is ready for paint. Freaking 18 months it's been here! Only like a 11 months of actual work, but so ready to see it go!!! We are heading down to KBPI show on the 26th and then she gets delivered to paint on the 27th.

Been a long project. But, for the craziness it is, I think it worked. Still can't beleive we did this. [ROFL1][ROFL1]

But she's onto the next stage of her life. [Party1][Party1] But it's done.
