Love it. Teenager is babysitting his younger siblings and the armed bad guy breaks down the door and the 14 year old takes him out.
Kinda puts a damper on the argument against owning guns with children in the house.

Atta boy!!!
absolutely awesome!
the evil gun just saved 4 children from either being molested, sex trafficking, kidnapped, murdered or all the above.
What kind of excuses will the anti-gunners come up with now?

Huge atta boy!
Soon after, the teen heard a bang on the door, rushed his siblings upstairs and got a handgun from his parent's bedroom. When he got to the top of the stairs, he saw a man breaking through the front door and point a gun at him.
The boy shot the 37-year-old man, who is in critical condition but expected to survive and be booked into jail.
Holmes said the suspect did not get a shot off. He declined to release his name until he is booked into jail.
Scumbag was pretty tough to kick in the door of a house full of kids. Scumbag wasn't so tough under accurate, incoming fire.
[Beer] Them's root-beer mugs for the 14 year old.

Huge for the parents teaching a well rounded young man too.
Just hope he can get past this

Too bad that 14yr old wasn't the first one sandusky tried to molest, all his BS could have been avoided.
I am glad the kids are safe. I hope the 14 year old young man is able to move past this incident and understands that he did a good thing. His life will never be the same, as anyone who has ever knowingly taken a life can tell you, if they chose to talk about it at all.
Be safe.

Good for the kid but the sad thing is some asshat liberal prosecutor will hammer the parents for "leaving a firearm accessible to a minor"

It's Arizona. Probably won't get past the Grand Jury. I'm not conversant in AZ law, but many jurisdictions require shootings be considered by some type of fact finder and often that is the sitting Grand Jury. Without any more information than the original story, this one fits so easily within self defense, I doubt any judge would even let the critically injured perp file a civil suit against the young man or his family.

Keep in mind that if this happened in California, the parents would be in jail now because of their "safe storage" laws.
Sometimes kids gotta be home alone, just a fact of life. I don't like the idea of my 15 y.o. grandson being defenseless, but giving him his Hi Point 9mm carbine to keep loaded and accessible just scares the shit out of me. I was a 15 y.o. kid once, with unlocked guns and ammo in the house, and I know that I certainly did some stupid shit with 'em that my parents never found out about. Different place, different era, but still....that's a very fine line and very thin ice. Just glad we live in a pretty safe whitebread neighborhood.
But in this case, I'm glad the boy had a weapon available and knew how to get to it and use it. But I also agree that the parents are likely to feel some heat about it, regardless of the fact the kid's a hero.

Unfortunately I can seriously see that happening
But, 14 (or maybe it's 12) they're (or more like We're) allowed to leave children while the older sibling babysits. That's not against the law
The access to firearms is questionable. I'm not a lawyer or a fucktard DA though. hmm, I am a fucktard but not a DA [Beer]

Found this "Federal Law"; Juvenile and Handgun –This person (under 18 years of age) may not knowingly possess a handgun or handgun only ammo: § 922 (x)(2), 1 year. Exceptions: he has the prior written consent of his parent or guardian for use in employment, in ranching, farming, target practice, hunting, or a course in the safe and lawful use of a HG; the juvenile is a member of the Armed Forces or National Guard; or as protection during a home invasion.
Found it here: http://www.fedcoplaw.com/html/federal_firearms_laws.html
Looks like they are in the clear!!
