A friend of mine just snapped and sent a picture of smoke from what appears to be a very small fire near Rainbow Falls. Yup, right by the south site.
Edit: Now with picture. Edit II: This picture is looking east from Hwy 67 just north of the south site.

Make sure it's been reported, have him call it in.

Has there never been a naturally occuring fire where you're from?

There's also another one in/near Fairplay. Calling it the Zebulon Fire. Sounds like it's between Fairplay and Alma.
Mostly grass but briefly torching in trees.

I was just there doing some four wheeling with family and friends. The whole valley is filled with smoke.

From report of nearby resident the fire seems to be knocked down and just mostly smouldering at present time.
I just drove out there. Damn thing was heading straight South towards Woodland Park. Not good.

The arsonist needs to be caught and dealt with. Family used to have land just north of rainbow falls. It got destroyed in the Hayman fire which was caused by another nimwit. Anyway hope this bozo gets caught by his own distruction.
On another note kind of interesting that our foes in the middle east promoted lighting forests on fire.

I forgot all about that.
Wow hopefully it gets fully contained and doesn't spark up again. I sure hope this isn't some kind of arsonist or OWS bs.

Looks like it has been contained:

It is so scary dry out we don't need no stinking terrorists. Lightning and idiots will keep this summer bad until rains come.
Steve
I drove out there again, and it is indeed nearly out.
That one had me nervous.

The fire by the Springs was said to be out the night before, and then perhaps flared up again. Keep an eye on that area...
