Welll, I got yet another addiction to this already addictive habit......Black Powder Cartridge Rifles.

I attended the Quigley shoot in Forsyth, MT with my oldest brother over Father's Day weekend. Now I am hooked.

But where along the FR, hoepfully near COS, can I shoot my new toy?

I now have a C. Sharps 1875 in .40-65 that really likes to stretch out and I plan of getting good at this.

Out of 635 shooters I ranked 359, not where I wanted to be but ok for my first time shooting these cartridge smoke poles.

I plan on attending the Tri Lakes meeting of Ben Lomond Gun Club in July to talk with them.

Does CRC have BPCR shoots/ranges?

Thanks for any direction you guys can provide.

I know the Whittington Center in Raton, NM has BPCR matches. I don't think they are monthly, but they have a few through the summer. I haven't been to the BPCR matches yet, but I do shoot the long range 22lr with my Sharps. It is to simulate the BPCR matches. They also have lever action competitions for 22lr, pistol and rifle calibers.

Thanks encorehunter.

But I'm looking for some place 'locally' that I can go a couple of times a month to practice.

Looking for ranges out to 800-1,000 yards.
