Anybody ever had a chance to read one of these? When I first got my Kindle Fire I downloaded a free copy. I thought it was going to be a liberal, tree-hugging fest like "Mother Earth News" or something similar. But there was a teaser to an article that looked interesting so I signed up for the free trial.
Actually, it's not and I'm really getting kinda hooked on it. It's got content from cooking and canning to farming, building houses and other off-grid necessities, guns (has a monthly article by Mas Ayoob), raising animals, recipes...pretty much anything you might be able to imagine.
I highly recommend it if you get the chance. I think it's published once per quarter.
I also took advantage of Amazon's Deal-of-the-Day today. A .99 cent book titled "Poverty Prepping: How to Stock Up For Tomorrow When You Can't Afford to Eat Today".
Haven't got into it yet but the reviews looked very promising.

+1 for BWH magazine. Country Living is a good one as well. I just picked up an old copy of Reader's Digest "Back to Basics" hardcover and it is filled with great info on living simple. GL.
These are a good read also:

I get the Backwoodsman, which is the same company as Backwoods Home. There are a lot of good articles in it, some less useful. I like it because it pulls articles written by the readers from all walks of life. It makes for very interesting reading.

I subscribe to the Kindle addition of Backwoods Home. It is automatically delivered to my Kindle as soon as it's published. Awesome magazine.
