7 Bull Elk walked in front of the shop this morning about 8am. Took this long to load the 2 youtube videos! Being from Wis, this crap always get me off!!!

Just wanted to share! Fire must be running um down. All of them passed by about 40 yards from the front door!!

So freaking awesome!!! [Awesom]

I hear ya! As mentioned, I'm from the midwest, been here for 8 yrs now. Was a huge hunter back there, but.....moved out here and didn't know shit so my hunting is nonexistent. I've seen plenty of elk in Estes and about, but still gets me giddy seeing them up close!!

Where we live in NW Loveland we have a herd that comes down every year and congregates in a field near our house. It usually consists of a dozen or so young bulls and a handful of does. Pretty impressive to see in person until all the 'town folk' starts clogging up traffic to get a look. I find it hilarious when some of the aforementioned city folk will get out of their cars with camera phone in hand and approach the elk w/o a care in the world. I mean, they'll get 15' from the things and not even realize how much danger they could be in with a bunch of young males starting to ramp up their hormones. It's best to view from a distance.

They probably drank it already since this thread was started at 3:00pm which means the video was likely taken around lunch time. [LOL] [Beer]

That's wise. Even if you are armed.

The problem with that is you can't invite them in for a beer as suggested earlier in this thread. [Tooth]

Yes I know!!

No, we took the videos about 7:30am. But, my internet and Youtube decided to take 4 hrs to load a 2 min video!

Didn't see them this morning, but I heard they have been hanging out over the community center/library off 1st Street.
