The Feds war on state and local LEOs continues.

The Justice Department has set up a hotline for the public to report potential civil rights concerns regarding the Arizona law that requires police to check the immigration status of those they stop for other reasons.
The hotline phone number is 1-855-353-1010. The email is: SB1070(at)usdoj.gov...

You knew they were gonna try everything they can to prove its bad, and to save face with their voter base. All games all the time.

Can we call the hotline and tell them to get their asses back to work, do their job, and maybe the states won't have to do it for them?

And that we're tired of our tax dollars being spent on people who can't follow the rules, and aren't punished for it?

I didn't call...but I sent the following email:

Dear DOJ;

Apparently you don't have anything better to worry about than whether or not AZ cops are violating the "rights" of illegal aliens. If you're not familiar with the term it refers to those people who violated US law to enter and/or remain in the country illegally.

I guess the Fast & Furious scandal is getting a little boring, huh?

Personally, I'd suggest you stay out of the business of the State of AZ and worry about real crimes. You know...like the Attorney General, possibly even the President, being complicit in the murder of a US Border Patrol agent. Guess that's just not important. Allowing criminals to buy guns and carry them across the border into Mexico where they're used in the slaughter of hundreds of Mexican nationals every year (so the Obama administration can have a really great excuse to restrict the 2nd Amendment rights of American citizens) must be getting a little mundane...nothing like the excitement of prosecuting an American law enforcement officer for upholding the laws of the land. That must be "real" law enforcement work to bureaucrats in DC.

At any rate, keep up the good work. Might as well work now as I suspect many of you will be looking for work next January.

Sincerely,

Carl Sharp

Nah, send them on a wild goose chase, like that a gay mexican muslim couple was discriminated against. Send some photo shopped information and let them waste resources.

Query: what do they do if the new black panthers abuse Mexicans? I am guessing nothing so maybe have the black panthers secure the boarder.

I heard the feds are also threatening to not give any more federal tax dollars to arizona police agencies. I hope they can figure out a budget with state money and by pass the entire federal government and show the rest of the nation we don't have to suck on the tit of washington to fix the nation. if the states make washington less relevant, they lose power, things go back to how they ought to be.

Luckily, law enforcement agencies aren't like other sections of state and local governments. The only fed money that usually comes to them is in the form of grants, for equipment, overtime, vehicles, etc. Most of those grants have been drying up for years, so the impact of the fed pulling them won't be much.

Well said! I'd love to tell them- "I"m not trying to tell you how to do your job, but seriously, my 7 year old nephew could probably enforce immigration law better than you asshats!"
