www.inciweb.org (http://www.inciweb.org) is the most up to date site I've found.

Great place to see National Forrest info on fires; but will not include fires on private, public and state or municipal land like the one burning near the town of Elbert.
Fire info is sometimes very difficult to get. Since the Waldo fire is burning west of Colorado Springs all local media is focused on it and has all but ignored 3 other local fires east and north of Colorado Springs that could have outpaced the Waldo fire if there was only a wind change.

there was definitely some sort of fire in the area last night. (im off C4 and Wads) the smell and smoke were definitely there.
Just my paranoid opinion, but all these started by "lightning"? My ass......

AFAIK the only fire started by lightning was the one up near Ft. Collins (High Park). I think the majority of the rest were man-made, but don't quote me on that.

That's what I hear too but I'm skeptical. It was clear as could be the days leading up to the fire especially the night before and the morning of. Not a cloud in the sky. When people started questioning that they said well it was a lightning strike that kindled for days and then just went up. I'm not buying that either. No idea why they would be stating this if it weren't the fact and I'm not saying there's a conspiracy but this whole cause of the High Park fire topic just doesn't sit easy with me.
Damn it.......................One more fire and I'm gonna have to bust out this bad boy and jump in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![Rant2]
