anyone here have a SIG556 yet?

i'm getting ready to head over to Specitaly Sports to pick mine up. Just wondeing if anyone else had got one on here? seems these things are fairly hard to come by. Jeff was nice enough to give me one of two he got in. he promised it to me months ago and would not even take a deposit for it due to the unknown shipping time. he even said he would give me a week to decide if i really wanted it before he would offer it up for sale. i'm only getting charged retail even though it seems a lot of places are charging more. Just one more reason specitaly sports is my favorite shooting store around. once i get it home and run a few clips thru it i'll post more info and some pics.

it's shoots real nice. kicks more like an AK than an AR. trigger is really nice. i didn't like the stock that came on it so i put a Magpul. just like an AR stock but the tube seems to be locktighted on. My Halo suppressor wont fit due to the flair behind the flash hider. i haven't ad the chance to site it in so i don't know what kind of groups it will shoot yet. it's very well balanced. i'll try to bring it out the the south shoot.

because of the many options with AR's i would have to stick with them, but if it was up against my plain jane bushmaster i would go with the Sig hands down.

yep. the slow fire upper is the new part. with any luck i'll be abole to control it now. the new rof should be around 700rpm. just waiting on a new sear before i try it out.

I had one it jamed a lot ,but was still fun

with any luck this will be better than what it was. i didn't have a jamming problem but it would chew up my bolts and sears so fast that it would just run on until empty. i think i would rather have a few jams here and there than something that is out of control.

was your upper a lage?

Looks like it. Is that the Lage upper? I have heard nothing but good things about them.

it is i still havent shot it. my sear is worn down and i'm waiting on a new one. last thing i want to do is wear the new bolt because my sear is bad. i haven't found anything online saying they had problems with them.

Like I said noting but good things. I actually have read people who detested the M11 say with one of these it is a whole new weapon. I think it will eventually drive the price of FA M11’s up substantially. Do you have a 3 lug can for it?

not yet but it's on the short list. i really like how my friends goes on his mp5 so i made sure to get the 3 lug barrel

my friend has the gemtech raptor. i would love to give yours a try sometime. i already have 2 gemtchs so it might be time to try a new brand. as for now i'm off to pick up my new FS2000
