The geissele trigger which is on its way!

Just thought I'd share it. Been working on it for the past year. Jack of all trades rifle.

Nice. [Awesom]

I'm not a fan of how far back your optic sits, but it's your rifle. I shoot with my nose touching the charging handle and that thing would jab me in the eye.

Also, the rear flip up sight being mounted "Modern Warfare" style just isn't my gig either. But that's the beauty of the AR platform. Everyone can do what they like and what works best for them.

I'm slightly intrigued by your combination AFG/vertical grip set up. Could you post some close up shots and maybe share your logic for doing it that way?

Thanks. [Beer]

I actually really like holding arm forward using a magpul AFG, very controllable & comfortable; however, different scenarios it is not always comfortable. I had a thought of cutting and integrating an AFG like you did to adapt to different shooting needs, but didn't feel right destroying a perfectly good AFG to do it. Glad someone decided to try it, maybe MAGPUL will see it and develop something production.

On my 300 BLK i am using a stubby vertical back farther and then a rail panel / handstop in front to hold arm forward.

i do agree with RaY, don't give yourself a black eye with with that scope. [Coffee]

Nice build! [Beer]

Well first of all its an ACOG with 1.5" eye relief. I decided to put it where it is based on the "close your eyes, find your perfect cheekweld, then place your acog" mentality. Wearing eye pro should eliminate getting hit in the face with the optic.

I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I want the BUIS there in the first place. I stuck it on there the way I did because that is the only way I could get it on the upper receiver without putting it on the rail. I may eventually just put a T1 in an offset mount and ditch the BUIS all together.

The reason I decided to integrate the RVG and AFG is because it combines ALL the advantages of both items without taking anything away.

It is by far the most comfortable VFG device I have ever used. It is almost easy to pull the rifle back into your shoulder while still being able to easily activate the TLR1.

The biggest reason I like having a VFG on the rifle is so I can brace my rifle up against a barrier with the VFG and shoot (sort of push the vfg into the barrier while shooting). This combination allows be to use the AFG without using that capability.

Good idea about Magpul, maybe I'll shoot them an email.

I hope you don't think I was criticizing your build or being a dick. It wasn't my intent. [Beer]

I like the build. I was just babbling about how the position of your ACOG wouldn't work for me due to the way I shoot.

And I do like the idea of ditching the back-up sight for something on an angle mount. Personally, I would go with some iron sights like these...

No worries! Wasn't taken that way, those aren't a bad idea at all, surefires?

Yep. Surefires. I haven't brought myself to spend the money on them yet.

Might have to steal your AFG modification idea. You know, before you go out and patent it. [Coffee]

Damn those are expensive, more so than KAC's!

Got for it, it took a little bit to get to the point where they are lined up with each other and on the rail, but honestly it was a pretty fun process
