View Full Version : Ballistic software for Iphone
Anyone here use a ballistic program for your Iphone? I've been looking at JBM Ballistics field tactical edition, does any one on here use it?
Man I did not know that existed. What a sweet idea if it works well.
Don't know about iPhone but "Shooter" for the Android is fricking tits. Has automatic data acquisition with your Kestrel and its calcs are damn near identical to exbal.

strelok for droid works great too.
The Knights Armament is the best one but $$$$$$$$
Here is a link to the program I'm looking at getting. Looks to be pretty promising.

I use(d) the KAC one. FAN-FREAK-ING-Tastic!! Always spot on.
Ballistic FTE or Bryan Litz's are pretty much the go to ones for long range work.

I have it and shooter both, actually prefer shooter a little more but both work well, put in good info, get out good info, put in shitty info, get shitty info out.

Shooter or Ballistics FTE both work well for the I-Phone. I heard the boys at Benning use Shooter. One of the best is Field Firing Solutions but from what I understand it only works on Windows 6 mobile and not the I-Phone.

I have Shooter on my iphone.
I use FTE on my phone and iPad. It's produced verified dope for five or six different rifles. Smallest was .22LR using Eley Match, then .223 handload, .308 handload, .260 Rem handload, .243 factory hunting load, and finally a .50 BMG handload.
The dope was confirmed with field shooting, some more rigorously than others. It seemed dead on in every case.

Huh... I stand corrected. It used to be just for the Droids. You would think it would appear when you search "shooter", I finally found it searching for "ballistics". The output looks the same as FTE. I heard you could enter DA directly instead of four atmospheric variables in Shooter, not sure if the iPhone version is the same. This would be a useful feature.
Can't you do DA on the droid version of FTE?

Shooter for Iphones is one of the best. I have it on my Itouch and use it to verify and compare the two others. Ballistic FTE and Field Firing Solutions.
