OK, I went and got fingerprinted and turned in my CCW application to the City and County of Denver on March 7th. The detective who printed me said that once approved, they would mail me a letter, and that I would bring the letter to pick up the actual permit.

So for those who have gotten their CCW in Denver, how long did it take before you got your approval letter?

Thanks!

I can't say how long it will take but I can tell you they only have 90 days to issue or deny it under current law.

It took nearly the 90 days for me, 10 weeks actually. The letter is very nondiscript so don't accidently throw it out as junk mail. It is pretty easy once you get the letter. I just went downtown slid the letter under the glass to the officer and he went and got my card. Looked at the card then at me about 4 times then slid the card back under the glass to me. And that was it.

It took the 90 days for me. That was back in 2003 when Denver residents could finally get permits.
