Right now I'm doing the same reaserch. But I have all the powders and the bullets and I would bite the bullet and just pick up some H-110 etc.
The dies I have are from Hornaday so they probley some data worked up, but they want you to buy thier book to get it!! [Rant2]
Not sure if the 300 black and 300 AAC blackout is the same thing but this is a link to hodgdon website and they have a bunch of loads for the 300 AAC blackout http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp
just plug in if its a rifle or pistol, then select the proper caliber and it will pull up loads
You will get the best accuracy and velocity with Vhit N-110. Burns very clean also. H-110 is ok, but dirty and accuracy is so-so. AA1680 is another good option.
For hunting I like the Nosler 125 gn Ballistic Tip. Still expands even at low velocities. For Deer sized critters it should work perfect.

If you reload, they are pretty much the same thing.
Feeding 300 BLK ammo in a 300 Whisper chamber is not a good idea. Kinda like 5.56 ammo in a 223 chamber.

Haven't shot one yet, so I'd defer to Hoser, but it looks like the .300 BLK really falls into a fairly narrow range of useful powders. There look to me to be at best a half dozen suitable powders. The list is essentially the most useful powders for heavy magnum pistol calibers. If Hoser says that the Viht N110 works best, then that's probably the best choice. I like Hodgdon H110 quite a bit in the applications I use it for ( Win 296 is the same powder ) and its very readily available. With AA 1680 rounding out the choices, I'd probably go with whichever brand your local gun shop sells at the best price if you decided to opt away from H110.
