"OSHA's complaint only grows more ridiculous when it describes how a range instructor was observed "reaching down on the range floor to collect a loaded handgun cartridge. The employee was not wearing any hand protection such as gloves." Worse, this maniac was also seen touching a broom handle without gloves ‑ increasing the fine by $4,200."

Don't grab the broom without gloves or you'll be labeled a maniac [ROFL1]

I can not stand OSHA. They are one hug monkey f****** a football.

I worked hand in hand with them in August 2007 at the Crandell Canyon Mine Rescue in Utah
and they had no clue where the sky was or even how to turn on a flashlight
at night on top of the mountain.

Damn, I'm never going to shake hands with someone who works at a range again, I might get GUN COOTIES!

I've got an idea of what OSHA can do with that broom handle. Gloves will be the last thing on their minds.

"Penalties also racked up because the range carelessly disregarded the need for a “labeling system” with “hazard warnings, words, pictures, symbols or a combination thereof” to let employees know they shouldn’t try to drink Hoppes #9 or CLP Break-Free solvent"

I wonder if the broom had a warning label? DO NOT PUT IN YOUR ASS.

Your average individual does not need that warning.
Only OSHA employees do.

No, no, no... you guys are looking at this all wrong. It was because it was a "loaded" round that he needed gloves. Safer that way.
You know, since these things are going off like crazy all over the place....

I have to say that the comments at the bottom of the article are even better. Not the usual rantings of extremists.

The funny thing is gloves would actually make more sense if it was a spent cartridge.

Here's another clue -
That’s clear from OSHA (http://p.washingtontimes.com/topics/occupational-safety-and-health-administration/)’s outrageous issuance of $111,000 in proposed fines on June 11 against Illinois Gun Works, a firing range located in the Chicago suburbs.
Ya think Rahm called in some help when he started losing those court cases?

OSHA, like the EPA, TSA, and DHS, and many other Alphabet agencies have far over reached their original purpose, and need to go away.

I don't think they need to go away 100%. You're exactly right, they've over reached their original purpose. If they go back to that original purpose, I think it would be better. But, eliminating the EPA 100% wouldn't be good. They do need to be kept in check though.

Well either the state or fed EPA needs to go. We don't need duplication.

As I posted in the first thread about this story.......

When I hear OSHA, all I hear is "Blah Blah Blah I'm a dirty tramp!"

All that I heard was "You dirty Bastard!" "Where are you putting that broom?" and "that Maniac is not wearing sexy gloves!"
