View Full Version : Sertoma Gun Show in the Springs this Weekend
7-8 July...Events Center on Palmer Park and Academy. At best, its a quarter the size of Tanner, but I always find at least one good deal there even if I don't have the cash to spend. I rarely miss it since active military get in free and I don't have to spend $15 in gas driving to Denver.

$15.00? You on a moped? It costs me that just getting to the highway to go to the spgs.:)

I'm going, or plan on it. Looking for a k98k... Anyone I should go see?

Couple yugos decently priced, and several south americans, just not what I was looking for. Pretty busy this morning though.
Did not find any guns decently priced. I sold some pup tents and knives. That is the only thing that made it a good show.

I went and it was refreshing to see some new vendors with better prices on guns.

Seen some ok prices on guns, then again, saw some prices that were a couple hundred over the market. Typical gunshow vendors.
Aw man-I missed it :(
I need to find some Enfeild parts.
Well I plum forgot about it - at least I managed to get the lawn mowed today along with for 40 gal trash bags worth of juniper clippings packed up.
I saw some mil surplus equipment deals, but decided I didn't need more of the same. Gun prices seemed to vary widely from table to table. I ended up going home empty-handed.

I drive an old Civic hatchback (which is kind of like a four-wheeled moped), but it gets 40 mpg so I plan to drive it into the ground.

I went Saturday morning and was pretty disappointed. Most of what I was interested in was overpriced and no one was willing to deal. Understandable to a point since it was early on first day. Still, the size and selection left me wanting more. Not enough reloading or casting stuff.

Sertoma is always an interesting show. I always run into a guy who enjoys spending mega-bucks and massive hours-refinishing the stocks on $50 .22 rifles. As cool as that may be....I have always thought it was like putting dual-exhaust and mag wheels.......on a Pinto Stationwagon. But, if it keeps him out of the bars...............
Then again.....he always leaves in tears. Wondering why he can't sell his shiny single shot Marlin bolt action for $400. It's a harsh world eh?
