This has been the week from Hell!! Screwed my knee up and had to stay off it a couple of days to let the swelling go down. Of course the doc still isn't happy about swelling and tells me to stay off it the rest of the week. I say screw it load all my gear for a trip get my 4 wheeler on the trailer and when I go to climb off the trailer and step down a searing pain shoots through my knee like a hot poker had just been shoved through it...
So let's see I wasted a week of vacation, a unbelievable opportunity to attend a hunt came and went and of course all because of my own stupidity.
On the flip side I have 3 great kids and a beautiful wife so all in all I'm a lucky guy...

Sorry bout your knee, ice for 24 hours then heat packs. Keep flexing it as well.

I feel for you. I screwed up my knee this week as well. I don't need surgery but it hurts a bit.

Hot, dry and dusty.
Few dogs must have had the plague go thru.
Last night the wind trashed 2 of the 3 tents.
Guys had to sleep in the barn and dry there stuff. My alaknac held up.
Pulled out a day early before the next storms

This was the one... Usually you can here the dogs barking every morning, this year nothing.
Did watch a fire go from 5000 acres to 27000 over night. Lit up the whole sky. It was 30 miles to the east and we still got ash on the tents

Assume your talking about the "arapahoe fire" on Laramie Peak?
