View Full Version : More Elk
These two have have been hangin' around for the past few days but I've had a hard time getting shots. Both are much more skittish than most I encounter, very shy. Early this morning the larger of the two became real irriated, real quick and chased me off (puckered-up for sure) but they came back for brunch and were more accomadating. I see a lot of big elk but this dude is really a good size animal, tremendous rack, very healthy and fat, dark silky coat and I think he's still fairly young.

Awesome, thanks for sharing! Is this by your house or work or something?

Those pics above are not officially on my postage stamp but it's at the end of my gravel driveway. They tromp all over my lot constantly though, mule's, elk, foxes, black bear, etc. This pic (below) that I posted late last year on the board though, hell, the dude is looking right in my downstairs door at me taking his pic...you can see the wood frame (have had Mule's and a lot of foxes IN my garage before).
Lastly, those two above are still hanging around this week, they've been great entertainment since they showed-up but that big guy, he's a cranky bastard and I have to use caution with him, doesn't like me getting too close.

Beautiful Elk! Me and the boy were up towards Indian Creek campground this last weekend and seen three good size bulls.
Archery season is right around the corner, can't wait until the rut....
So were "exactly" do you live?[ROFL1]
