We all know that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed in August 1945 after the explosion of atomic bombs. However, we know little about the progress made by the people of that land during the past 65 years.
HIROSHIMA – 67 YEARS LATER

What has caused more long term destruction - the A-bomb, or Government welfare programs created to buy the votes of those who want someone to take care of them?
Japan does not have a welfare system. Work for it or do without.
These are possibly the 5 best sentences you’ll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Spot on accurate. I spent around 6 months north of Detroit and
that place is truely the conclusion of liberal politics and policies at its finest.
Pure shithole and everyone there who is not union thinks the world owes them everything.
I did not talk politics there. Way to many liberal douches.

I can't remember if I saw it on here or somewhere else but some developer is trying to build a zombie themed amusement park across a bunch of the deserted blocks in Detroit. Too bad you'd have to actually go to Detroit to see it.

Im in detroit and flying over you can see some of the very run down parts of town. Houses are super cheap but no where near close to code. There was a thread on arfcom talking about buying several blocks and making an arfcommer compound!

You'd need to build a compound to survive in Detroit! Detroit along with Washington DC and NYC are the three places I would not live in the US.

I've seen this before, and the guy who pointed it out also said "Dems are also 500x more useless than atomic weapons, they can't end war effectively and sure as hell can't create sand!" [LOL]

Detroit, the best place to find a 3rd world country inside of a 1st world country.[Bang]

Detroit is the definition of insanity....
Bringing in the same damn lib leadership time after time and expecting something better to occur.
And don't even get me started on the Red Wings

Detroit greatly saddens me. Not becuase of the people, they did it to themselves. But because of all the gorgeous architecture that has been layed to waste. Detroit was once known as the Paris of the Americas, and a shining example of how beautiful a city could be, now it lays in ruins and sadly those one of kind never to be built like that again buildings will likely never be restored.

I was just thinking about the first time these images were posted. One shows a wide angle view of a large city. The other is so narrow it doesn't even show one whole building. You could take a picture of the Gates Rubber Factory and get the same result.
