Sweet...things are looking up. Hopefully we continue to get rain and by the time I go camping in two weeks we may be able to have camp fires.

Does anyone know this means you can shoot in Pike National Forest with Park County. I'm getting the impression we can't.

the NFS never issued a ban on shooting but evidently a county can overide the fed in some cases.

From this page: http://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/psicc/alerts-notices

It looks like they are still under Stage 2. When it drops back to Stage 1 it will be okay but is still pretty dry out there. A few heavy storms doesn't overcome a season of drought.

On order 12-09 I did not see any restrictions on firearms other than incendiary or tracer ammunition and exploding targets.
