I am looking to put a sling on my 15-22 to make it as much like my real AR as possible. Is there a back plate mount that will work? I’m just not sure if the lack of a castle nut changes what will or won’t fit. Any input is appreciated.

Tie rap or a bit of 550 cord is you only option. The tube does not come off.

I'm not 100% on this, but the tango down receiver extension sling attachment (http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Tango-Down-PR-4-Rear-Sling-Mount-p/tango%20down%20pr-4.htm)might work on the 15-22. I think I've seen others do it. It's a bit pricey, but could be a good option and should be a great piece of kit. (may need a little DIY action to make it work....) Otherwise, you can just go from you rail to your stock.

Brownells had on for about $10 at one point. Don't know if they still do. 550 cord & a key ring are the preferred method.

Oh there are a lot of options. You just need to find one that tightens on.

Here are a couple options,

Dan,

I should have one of the MI mounts (linked to Amazon in Spleify's post) at my house. I think it's sitting on the window sill above my work bench. You're welcome to swing by my place and grab it to see if it works.
