Does any one know if the fire ban in the high country effects recreational shooting on public lands?
I've got some friends coming in from Atlanta in a few weeks and I'd much rather take them up the wonderful trail head next to my home then to local range that's a half hour away.
Thanks a lot!

The answer to your question varies from county to county as well as there being varying restrictions throughout different parts of the various public lands.
Arapahoe/Roosevelt national forest along with Pawnee grasslands are still in a firearm Ban........Ruined my "our" weekend.........

From what info i can find the only place is park county.
As Ginsue said, it is county to county. you still have a few weeks to go where we can get some moisture.
whatever you do, just make sure you are careful and have a plan...like a fire extinguisher on hand at the ready. The shooting community doesn't need the blame for any fires.
