I have been thinking about spending the money on a 5.11 t bel t. Does anybody else have one and how do you like it? I'm looking for something that will be good for concealed carry as well as casual dress. Anyone have any experience with them?

I have had one of their 1.75" for a few years and it gets a lot of use. It is very stiff yet comfortable; perfect to distribute the weight of a pistol on your belt. I will recommended as a good alternative to a leather gun belt.

The only draw back is that it screams "tactical"; anytime I see a person wearing one of these I immediately look for the bulge of their gun on their strong side. For this reason, they work best if you don't tuck in your shirt.

Sportsman's Warehouse typically has them in stock so you can try them out there and decide if you really want to spend the money for one.

I wear the 5.11 Operator belt at the range and anytime I'm wearing jeans. It's a great gun belt; very stiff and does not sag at all under the weight of a loaded gun and mag holders. I like the fact that it is very adjustable with velcro instead of holes. It does scream "tactical" though. Looks like any rigger's belt. They seem to run a bit small, my pants are 32" and I had to get a large.

Can you slide them back and forth in your belt loops easy with out sticking?

I mostly wear mine with jeans and I have never had an issue with the Velcro sticking to the fabric.

I have the 5.11 Trainers belt (1.5"). Wear it every day, and love it. Very good for a gun belt - stiff enough, and comfortable. Although I have a CHP, wear the shirt loosely over the belt as it does scream out "tactical". Probably doesn't help that I also wear the heavy-duty 5.11 shorts as well! [Beer]

I've got a couple of the 5.11 belts, but my favorite CCW belts are Ross Leather Works belts I bought from Brownells. Best money I ever spent.
