AR-15 Rifle Test Quiz

I am semi-retired and I am taking a self-passed and self-taught Firearms Armorers course. I have covered over 25 different firearms in this course and now I am on the AR-15 Rifle course which is my last firearm in the Armorers course.
I hope to become a part-time light Gunsmith in the future. I am now working part-time with a Gunsmith that has over 40 year’s experience. I have my CHL and my FFL.

There are many questions covering this firearm and I have answered them to the best of my ability but during my study and research I am having some problems with these quiz questions. Either I am not sure of the correct answer or I have conflicting answers. I need to get 85% of the questions correct.

Can you help me (http://www.weaponscache.com/forum/glossary/?do=showentry&item=me) determine the correct answers for these quiz questions? Please correct my wrong answers!

So we should help you cheat on a "quiz" when you don't know the subject matter?

Speaks well in an industry where integrity is everything.

Good integrity on your part.

yup agreed I would not want to take my gun to a guy that does not know there are taper pins that hold the front sight post on not a big roll pin[Tooth]

Why not just simply use Google to find your answers? We're certainly not going to help you.

Did you register on different forums and ask for the answers for the other 24 firearms in your self "taught" course?

If you simply took one AR apart, you would know most of these answers.

85% to PASS????? I prefer my firearms to be 100%...please keep us posted on your future employment. It would also be most helpful if you could keep us apprised of the Serial Numbers for the hardware you assemble.

All I can say about this thread is [ROFL1]

OP, have you ever seen an AR-15? Just by looking at one you can answer half of the questions. Geez.

Bert, I hope you didn't run out of that gunsmith glue before you did my rifle (so to speak)!!!

yeah I saw that and chuckled a little. Gunsmith glue........although"friction" as an answer is just as bad.

There is a gunsmith adhesive.....wonder which one is stronger?

If you don't know the answer to question #1 someone may need to slap you. haha.

I'm relatively new to the internals of the ar 15. A simple app called gundisassembly can show you all these things if you are too lazy to pull out your ar-15. If you don't know these things already, purchase a stripped lower receiver and the learning experience you will get from it will help you more than we could or would... just remember, knowledge is power! Honestly hoppy, 20 minutes on YouTube and you will know more than that test shows. If you really want this to be a career I think you need to spend the time / money on a real armorers course, or perhaps even the gun you will hold yourself out to the world as an expert in.

Btw, Mr. Stoner designed the AR-7 survival rifle. It's a common mistake to confuse the two. What you are looking for is the Assualt Rifle - one five. I'm pretty sure that Forrest Gump designed it just before he was sent to Vietnam to kill Asians. Tough break that they would throw in a trick question like that on you. [ROFL1][ROFL2][ROFL3]

Assualt Rifle - one five.

I'm thinking that stands for ArmaLite, the original designers.

Yeah. AN AR IS NOT AN ASSAULT RIFLE AS YOU WOULD BUY IT AT GANDER.

How can we expect the media to get this stuff right if this constant bad info is posted?

I'm thinking that stands for ArmaLite, the original designers.

I realize you can't hear sarcasm when I type. I thought listing Forest Gump as the original designer of the AR-15 and suggesting the conflation of two of Stoner's designs would be enough. To make sure that second paragraph was not misconstrued as "fact" I added [ROFL1][ROFL2][ROFL3]. Apparently that was not enough, so now I guess I'll just have to start scripting it out.

[Sarcastically] Why thank you zman. I do believe you are right. This whole time that ive been on this here forum I never realized that the Illinois based Armalite would ever designate a product with "AR". Thank you for showing me the light. Say, would you like to join a do it yourself armorers course together. I hear they're really legit. [End Sarcasm}
