This guy isnt all that smart I am guessing, also I had never seen the way he pre-deployed his chute and jumps with it dangling down below him and sommersaults.[Luck]

Lol.. kinda cool actually.. Ive never seen it done like that either.
Wow, what a nutcase. So many ways that could have gone wrong.
It didn't appear to be his first go at this kind of thing...

yeah I was thinking he sounded hammered... lol
Woah! That was pretty sweet... I wouldn't have the balls to do that- maybe a packed chute but not a pre-deployed one, although looking at it, that might be preferable at a lower height.

i think the hammered routine was an act, for the camera. he had his shit wired tight. he knew exactly what he was doing and did it flawlessly.

I agree, I think he sober and putting on an act. I drove across that bridge recently.. Breathtaking views along the California coast from Santa Barbara all the way up to San Francisco.
Booo my phone won't let me watch the video[Mad]
Yeah, his perfect somersault deployed the canopy perfectly. But if he'd fallen off that ledge and down into his canopy.....dead meat. Plus the wind could have pulled him off. Or it could have gotten snagged on the bridge.....

So I don't get the big deal on why that is illegal?

This. USPA would yank his license if he was even slightly intoxicated.

When I was a skydiver, USPA was only a membership thing, wasn't any "license" involved. Kinda being in the NRA. Ya pays your money and ya gets a card. Nothing else.
Finally gotta watch it on YouTube. Badass jump[Beer]

Now you gotta have your A card to buy new gear or get on a lift. I could see getting around this BASE jumping but don't think anyone would be that stupid.

The pre deployed chute is more common than you would think. I can not find the video I am looking for.
Im pretty sure he had some beers in him. At the 2:20 mark he was wobbling a little! Definitely not his first rodeo though! Very awesome
