Worst way to die?

Been thinking about this for a bit and after I saw the cartel chainsaw video then 00tecs stitches thread I decided that getting or watching my head get cut off would suck. Then I saw a shark video with somebody getting bitten, it freaked me out bad and decided that getting eaten alive by a shark would suck the most. Something about their cold black eyes just hits me deep.

Kinda a weird question, but wanted to know what you guys thought.

Worse though, for me personally, would be a debilitating stroke that I survived, but was left without use of my body. I respect folks who live and thrive after such an event, but it wouldn't be for me.

Slowly but surely your own country is replicating defective humans that consume energy and invade the host. Depending on the type of cancer it can affect your economy, social services, entitlement programs, healthcare, cost of living, military capability, domestic security, quality of life, etc. Invasive, silent, painful, lethal. Imagine growing weaker daily while the pain gets worse and the cancer grows and grows. You never die from the cancer...it's the side effects that do you in: metabolic, system failure, complications. Your only recourse is to cut it out (hack off a piece of your body), deport it, zap it with radiation, or dump lethal chemicals into your system that hopefully kill off more of the rapidly dividing cancer cells (illegal immigrants) than your good cells (taxpaying citizens). When you do reach that nadir...you are literally open to attack from everything the world can toss at you. Even the common cold can kill you at this point. Imagine losing all your hair, puking/shitting nonstop for days, weak as a baby, sensitive to light/heat/cold, and pain that goes far beyond 10 on a 10 point scale. If you get lucky and survive it then you have that Russian Roulette of re occurrence...wondering how long you have til it comes back. Did they get it all? Maybe it metastasized to a different area of the body...it was in the border town but in 6 months it will be in your hometown or your capital.

story time! thats crazy man... I came close to drowning once, big (relativley, not like tahiti or something) wave surfing in Hawaii... it was right out of a movie, life guards on ski's, people watching from the shore etc. went to the beach, it was pouring down raining. huge waves crashing at the shore. I wait for probably 10 minutes planning my strategy to get out to the break. finally head out, first white water hits me.... get tumbled pretty bad. up paddling hard. second one hits... much slower getting my board back, and getting back up to speed. get a little further out, and boom... a big wave/white water, hits me...

I go down pretty far (no idea how far really, but Im guessing 15 feet under?) and start looking around... it's PITCH black. nothingness. first time in years of surfing that I thought I was in trouble. Im scared to swim the wrong way so Im just hoping the ocean gives me a direction. sure enough, after awhile, Im looking around and see the smallest glimmer of light. I paddle hard for the surface. barely get there... short story long, I caught that next white water in, let it throw me up on shore, and as I am getting up, I look back out to the ocean. The lifeguards had radioed one of the ski's and he was looking for me where I went under. Felt like I came pretty close that day.

back to point, I think fire would be bad. but really, anything with a struggle in front of it... battling not to drown, etc.

I can tell you from experience that burning to death would not be pleasant. The burning the nerve endings out doesn't help while they are burning.

I'll admit, drowning is not much better. I got caught in some seaweed and came close once. It was very scary. The burning was much more painful.

After having my dad die in a fire back in December, though, learning that he was knocked out from the smoke before the fire touched him was a comfort, and that smoke will get you fast as shit.
