But the broadcast from the Moon was in B & W, and you all say you saw it in color ?
Interesting side effect of something illicit................[LOL]

Today is July 20th, the 43rd anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the moon. Let's all take a moment to remember what we can
achieve when we dare to dream big. And remember that once upon a time, 12 brave men risked it all to visit Luna on the moon.

No. I said I watched it on our color TV. Not in color. My mom had just bought that Curtis Mathes and the cabinet it came in was about 6' long x 2' deep and 3' high. It was huge!

To be honest I don't recall if it was broadcast in color or B&W.

This was an ad from 1969. These babies were state-of-the-art, had hand-made oak or walnut cabinets and were manufactured in Texas. My mom saved for years for one of these. There were stereo components and a turntable on either end and it had sliding doors that concealed the TV. If you look closely you'll see the ad says the model is the "Gregory" and it listed for $849.95...a lot of money in the 60s.

I found some dimensions on another website: 70L x 23D x 29H
