Hopefully my flight gets out before he arrives. I wonder if he will fly into DIA or Buckley?

Probably Buckley, from what I understand military base over commercial airport as it is easier to secure. no base nearby, then commercial airport.
Wonderful............

I think it's despicable that a politician would bastardize the loss of these people's lives into a grandstanding opportunity for their own political gain. Reprehensible.
Weren't you guys bitching just a few weeks ago that Obama wasn't saying anything about the fires? This is arguably a more horrible tragedy, and he's coming down to pay respects, and you all piss and moan about it.

I heard complaints because he came to town in the middle of the Springs fire. The issue was that when he comes in, it makes it harder for firefighters to do their job. For example, while he's around kissing babies in town, tankers can't fly to do their thing.

If that's his true motive, I'll concede your point. But I expect it's more self-serving than that. We'll see. But no, I wasn't one of the ones bitching about Obama and the fires. In fact, I thought his arrival took way valuable resources, as former Governor Owens advised.

Doesn't sound like they're pissing and moaning to me, just stating an opinion.

He's not comming to pay his respects, he's comming to grandstand in an election year.
Remember Fort Hood? He went there and made a speech but never visited the wounded or the families of those killed.

So is he playing at Cherry Hills or Castle Pines?
If he is paying respects shouldn't he go to Murphy Creek? It is closer to Buckley.

Did Obama visit the evacuation centers during his fire visit? I saw an interview of some folks down in the Springs and they were pissed that he didn't. If he really didn't, he's classless and should have stayed in DC.
Also, he never visited Texas when half of that State was on fire last year. Of course, Texas isn't a swing State...

Funny because there is a similar thread on Rivals. I brought up the idea that he is only visiting for votes, and man it is fun to defend myself against hundreds of liberals all the time. I sure do fit in better here.
There have also been a war since yesterday's events about AR-15s, and semi automatic weapons, magazine etc. has been an entertaining few days.

He visited an area where homes were burned, a fire station near Mtn shadows and the southeast YMCA which was a red cross shelter at the time. I was at the airport shortly after he landed and saw one of the MAFFS hercs take off as soon as they reopened things following his arrival. I don't like the guy but let's at least have our facts straight when we debate.

Yeah, I was doubtful when those folks were interviewed. I mean going to the shelters has to be in the playbook if you visit a devastated area. Maybe he just didn't visit THEIR shelter and felt snubbed.
Lol, I don't like him much either but let's be honest, if he didn't show up there would be threads on here about him not coming. When he does show up, there is threads on here about how that's wrong.
I just hope his security staff does something with those chicken s$%t WBC scum.
Gotta come try to grab some more votes.
And let the 2a bashing begin. I actually thought he would start next week but I guess he needs to capitalize.
