I have a 48' trailer in the Kiowa area I have been using for storage. I have never registered it. I need to have it moved to a new location outside Pueblo. What are the steps I need to take? (registration, inspection). I'm a total noob here but I know some of you guys can inform me. Any total cost estimates?
Thanks
Robby
I thought there was something that allowed you to move a vehicle (and trailer I assume) for maintenance or repair or for moves without registering?
Might want to scour the DMV website and see what they say on there.

I don't know about the legalities, either. But worst case you might be able to have it hauled on a flatbed if you didn't want to go to the expense of registration and such.

i also have a semi trailer. Like you, I have never registered it. I have owned it for 9 years. I just call a small trucking company, and they move it. They didnt care about the plates. They did care about lights, tires, and wheel bearing temperatures.
I know I didnt answer any of your questions from a legal standpoint.
Exactly what HBAR said, they really only give a damn about the brakes, tires and lights working properly.
Call a shipping company and expect to shell out $500 or so bucks for the move.
I will get in contact with my old company, we do a lot of container shipping via OTR truckers. I will see who they use locally.
