I know there's got to be some MMA fans here on this board. Just to get the conversation going...
I don't think Fedor is the greatest of all time.

Hard to think of a more dominating fighter than Fedor. Royce Gracie maybe? Anderson Silva?
Best fight I ever saw was Fedor vs Cro Cop. I can't imagine trying to take that kind of punishment.

That was a great fight. Cro Cop was my first favorite fighter actually.
Fedor is a great fighter no doubt...probably the best HW ever. But the GOAT? I would have to say Anderson Silva takes that title. Fedor was dominant...but Anderson makes his opponents (#1 contenders in the #1 MMA organization in the world) look like amateurs.
Case and point...Anderson Silva/Forrest Griffin
cept for when he got caught in pride with a ankle lock and a triangle ;) cant stand silva only cus he makes the middleweight division boring but met him in hermosa, ca. super chill dude.
back to topic fedor and crocop were both the best to watch back in the days.

I've still never seen anything like when Fedor got rocked against Kazuyuki Fujita and still pulled out the win. He was still on rubber legs even after the fight was finished. That was crazy...
I'd pay big bucks to see Anderson Silva and George St. Pierre fight each other. Maybe some sort of catch-weight bout. [Awesom]

Fedor had a great win streak, but not against the best fighters in the world.
Anderson is the best fighter of our generation.
Anyone catch the terrible PPV this weekend? I want my money back.
Wanderlei Silva is still my favorite guy to watch on the old Pride tapes.

Agreed. I don't remember what the deal was, there was some reason Fedor wouldn't or couldn't fight outside of Pride. He never got a shot to fight the greats. There would have been some good fights to watch.
I forgot about Wanderlei Silva. That guy was a monster too.
Who was that Japanese fighter that came out of nowhere and destroyed Gracie? Can't remember his name, but he was a short guy with tree trunks for legs.
ETA: have you guys seen Warrior? Pretty unrealistic in how they let the fights keep going when someone is broken, but pretty entertaining nonetheless.

Yeah it was a pretty abysmal card unfortunately. The prelims were great though. But yeah it's cards like that one that make me thankful that I don't pay for UFC PPVs. That's why we go to Legends and watch the fights there :)

That's the super fight I want to see too...I think GSP should come up to 185 though because Anderson already cuts down from 220 to get to 185.

Figured I'd attempt to resurrect this thread...but any thoughts on the UFC card in Denver tomorrow night?
I personally want to see Bendo end the fight. Krankie Edgar should have never scored an immediate rematch in the 1st place, so I'm hoping Bendo gets the KO or sub early in the fight to leave no doubt. Overall though it looks like it's going to be a pretty great card. At least they left all the heavyweights off this card...that was bad to have two HW fights on the main card last time the UFC was in Denver.

I'll be there as well tomorrow night!!
Sec 116 row 1 seats 1&2.
Ed Herman is a good dude. I've trained with him up here in Ft. Collins. He owns a gym there (Trials MMA) & works with a few guys. Very technical fighter.

Yeah I've always liked him. I hope he smashes Shields...I really don't like his style nor do I like who he trains with
