View Full Version : Too far?
So I just watch a blurb by Entertainment Tonight (emailed from a friend) about the new Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin film "Gangster Squad" about the mafia in LA in the 40's and 50's (gangster style flick, hence the name) and in the film there is a scene where the bad guys (?) shoot up a movie theater with Thompson SMGs. Well in light of the Aurora Shooting the studio is talking about removing that scene all together. I, personally, think this is just taking things too far.
One more step too far, I now can't view the original trailer with that scene in it in this country- on YouTube it's been removed... but I was able to find it here:

Thoughts on this?

Don't you have a job?
Don't you have a job?
This has what to do with my topic? I'm caught up with work and have down time between things.... some jobs don't require constant work 100% of the time ya know.
Watched the trailer and it looks really good!
I don't think they need to remove the seen, but I'm not a sensitive liberal girly man, so my opinion doesn't really matter.

Absolutely nothing. I started a thread about some of your post, i was impressed you were not drifting around worrying about useless shit. SO i figured it was time to break your balls.
Today's the day, you're it.
Still haven't had a response to shit canning that liberal co-worker. Once an anti-gun starts rambling and she will have you and your dad at each others throat.

No, we aren't going to fire her (politics ya know, and it's hard to find good workers these days). She called in sick today, so with the boss out at meetings and her gone I'm by my lonesome with no liberal anti-gun BS going down... but she wasn't really having us at our throats per se... but I do see where you are coming from. My dad is usually pretty good about being conservative but appearing politically neutral (I'm working on that too)... can't loose business because people don't like the right side of the field. Why ruin a classic
I was thinking of doing a remake only everyone BUT the sheriff is black, OR gay. Box office smash.
Please don't tell anyone i baked you a pie, I wouldn't want them to think i was being nice to the Honky Sheriff..

That's the problem I'm addressing here... too many sensitive libtard girly men running things (my guess is especially at Warner Bros.). It looks like a badass film and with the release in Sept I hope that the "questionable scene" doesn't have too much plot development to ruin the story if removed... not much time for a re-shoot and edit.
I wouldn't want to see a movie with Liberal POS actors like these guys anyway, let em dump the whole thing.
