As I am getting my fingerprints done today the sherrif comes over to talk to the folks doing them and asks "you get me my 10,00 yet?". The worker responds, "we passed 9,00 last month and we're going strong". After the sherrif walked away I asked the tech 10,000 what? She said that one of the goals that the sheriff has while in office is to have his signature on more than 10,000 CCWs. [Beer][Beer]
He's still got 2 years to go!!
On a side note, I'm sure it is going to take quite a while now because of the run on guns and permit applications. Wish I hadn't sat on my application for the last 3 years.[Rant1]
Had some friends put in last month for theirs in Douglas county and they came back in 16 days.

I don't remember the exact time frame, but my gf's came back from Douglas pretty quick. If you're turning it in now, it seems you're still ahead of those that have schedule and take the classes.
Seems like they're set up for it and glad to see he's all for it.

Ya, I'm no different than all of the other people that have waited too long. I figured I had better get in there today before the rush of people that are signing up for classes. Glad I already had it done though, I've heard that classes are pretty full everywhere. Hell, I should have done it years ago with my DD214.
The guy told me 6-8 weeks. Said they did 38 applications yesterday, that is a ton for them. Maybe the most in one day he ever did. That's why I waited until today, I figured it would have been swamped yesterday.
Too bad he is a known opponent of NFA items / signatures.

20 days and mine was back...... To bad if he don't change his stance on NFA I'm gonna vote for someone who is more pro NFA. He does have his signature on mine though! [Beer]
Deputy Bob (is that his name) the one doing the prints and apps is a nice guy!

I had like a three week turnaround for my CCW in Douglas County last year. Very fast and efficient process with them...
Applied on the 3rd and just got back from picking up my card. Way to go, Douglas County! As a bonus everyone I encountered there on both visits were very friendly. That's always appreciated.

I don't know him man so can't say, I don't like he won't sign off on the forms but that don't stop you from owning one.

Where is the office? I only know of one on Rampant Muffin Ridgeline Canyon Parkway and I'm told they only staff it part time.
I'm hoping they will accept my training from my MO CC that expired while I was overseas.
DC Justice Center, Castle Rock.
Check their website for the requirements. Some counties accept certain levels of military experience for a period of time, usually up to three years after ETS. Can't say on the out of state expired CC. Do you have the training certificate and how old is it?

I have it but it is still on the slow boat from Korea. It's about 5 years old.

5 years may be the cutoff in DC, again it's best to check their website for current requirements than to depend on a bunch of slackers on the intarwebz.
