I picked up a handful of used GI mags from the new shop over at Buckley and Iliff, Castle Arms. He's got quite a large stack of them (well, he did before I showed up anyway [Tooth]) and pretty decent prices on them, but they've got the old followers in them.

Is it worth it to upgrade to anti-tilt followers? I see there are a few manufacturers making them. Where's the best place to get them (for cheap)?

Depending on the condition of the mags it might be worth just running a rebuild kit, spring and follower. The best on the market of course is MagPul.. you can find them all over the place.

I decided you're right that having a reliable mag is worth a couple extra bucks. I picked up some 3-packs of the magpul followers from Bowers for a great price.

For future reference, it may be more profitable to buy online.

D&H/labelle GI mags @ bravo co.'s online site with magpul followers new in package for ten bucks each.
I try and buy a few with any order I make so I dont have to pay shipping twice.

They actually came out to about $10/ea ($8 for the mag, ~$2 per follower). They're used, but they run just fine (tested this weekend) and I like supporting local businesses when I can.
