Anyone have experience or opinions on the LT 11" gooseneck hand guards? I've been thinking about putting together a 10.3/10.5 upper and I liked the idea of putting the front sight out just a bit more. If I just used a standard A2 birdcage, would I run into any "problems" with the rails extending over the muzzle device?

I tried the Larue profiler, but it just didn't look quite. I'm assuming that the birdcage would be nearly completely underneath the rail. Maybe .200-.400" sticking out?

thanks guys!

Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Perhaps I'm wrong.

I did something similar a few years ago and used a Levang Linear Comp to direct the muzzle blast out and away from the rail.

It works fine, looks cool, gives you a little extra site radius. I don't think it does anything that a regular rail doesn't, but it did let me move the sites slightly farther forward and still run a reflex can on my 12.5".
