Just watched Red Dawn on Sunday.. I didnt know the wife hadnt seen it!!!
I forgot about one of the freaky parts.. when the bad guys tells one of his soldiers to go get all of the form 4473's from the sporting goods store... scarey lol..
It's the first in a series of young adult books written by an Australian that basically is an adaptation of Red Dawn.
does it take place in AU or USA?
Eastern coast of Australia
The country is invaded by an unidentified military force that quickly takes over and occupies. It's the story of a bunch of teenagers that were on vacation at the time, that get ahold of firearms and launch a guerilla war against the occupiers.

well I think they should put the guns away and come in, support the newly established government, its best for everyone.

All things considered, it is a pretty decent movie.
They have plans to make a second and third already, due to its success in the Australian market.
watched it today it was ok.....ill bet part 2 is way better this one was mostly talking not enough shooting/blowing stuff up
The wife and I tried to watch it and just couldn't get into it really. Maybe it got more interesting had we given it a few more minutes, but unless a movie or show can make me think, laugh or otherwise cause intrigue in under 5 minutes, I'll simply turn it off and go work on something LOL.

I stopped watching when two teenage girls defeated professional soldiers in buggies with light machines guns by simply driving around in a garbage truck.

if you happen to make a "backup copy for personal use" i'd love to see it [Tooth]
I didn't think it was that great. I looked it up on wikipedia a while back, and the most interesting thing seemed to be that the book is often assigned to teens in Australian public schools. Something about patriotism, diversity, teamwork, and a similarity to what Japan tried to do to that region of the world during WWII. Could you imagine Red Dawn as required reading in US public schools?

I'd support a tax levy to pay for the books!
Watched my DVR recording finally. Meh. Not great, but entertaining enough for a simpleton like me. I almost bailed during the trash truck chase, but reminded myself not to expect reality, but just entertainment. Once I got past that, it was adequate drivel to keep me on the couch. But then again, so is beer.

Ok watched it last night.
Talky, then again it's from the narrator's perspective
Similar to red dawn. geared more towards a specific age group
The AK's were tactifuked to the max.
No mention made verbally, but you knew who or what part of the world the occupiers were from.
if you were paying attention, the occupiers (aggressor) talk over the radio was "interesting" given the fact the left wants us here in the US to believe or follow the same train of thought.
Would i recommend the movie ? 50/50. Myself, being laid up and BORED will watch anything. Hell i even sat through Sucker Punch [Bang] OK most of it before i came to.
