Hey all, Ive been lurking too long, its time to key up. My son and I do a lot of hunting and shooting and even manage to kill a few fish now and then. Thought we would join a website that is local.

Well thanks guys. Hey Chad, where do you shoot rifle? We just joined that Great Guns place up in Nunn because we are up at a lake in Greeley a lot. I haven't found any place near here where I can shoot far. We shoot clays at Kiowa Creek and Quail Run and now up in Nunn. GG has a 100, 200, and 300 yard range. Nice place, just kinda far from home.

A little further drive from Kiowa and you'll find BLGC.org (http://www.blgc.org/)
Membership is currently capped, but it's worth applying and getting on the wait list as positions do come open when people drop, move away, etc. As the ranges improve, they may raise the cap.

BEN LOMOND GUN CLUB Offers and Encourages Organized Firearms Shooting. Located 45 Miles from Castle Rock, 47 Miles from Parker, and 43 Miles from Colorado Springs at 23195 County Road 105 in Elbert County. There are over a dozen ranges for use on the 560 acre Shooting Facility. These include 11 berms, 4 of which a High Power Rifle may be utilized, 7 general pistol berms, and 6 competition pistol berms. BEN LOMOND GUN CLUB also offers a 600 yard High Power Rifle Range with a Covered Firing Line and15 Lanes of Fire from 100 – 600 yards. A Shotgun Range which includes Trap and a 5-stand 10-stage Sporting Clay Range, a 500 yard Cowboy Long Range, (lead bullets only), a .22 Small Bore Silhouette Range, an Archery Range, and a Youth Shooting Facility. Under construction at this time is a Trap and Skeet Range. BEN LOMOND GUN CLUB provides for good Sportsmanship and an Excellent Shooting Range for its Members. Many Members are very Informative and Skillful and are willing to provide Professional Education and classes for the novice shooter. BEN LOMOND GUN CLUB has a well established Youth Shooting Facility to forward the development of Safe Handling of Firearms and to Protect the Future of the Shooting Sports in our United States of America.

I haven't been to a chapter meeting in about 6 months, but I talked quite a bit with the club Pres George W. yesterday at the range and the membership cap has been lifted. He said the Franktown chapter took in all 28 on their waiting list at the last meeting.
Anyone sitting on the fence or looking to get in better do it before another cap gets imposed. The addition of the 6 competition pistol berms was a major contributing factor to lifting the cap.
