I'm going to Hawaii in a few weeks and am going to get some new ink while I'm down there. I have an idea in my head but just don't have the ability to put it to paper.

What I'm thinking (since it is Hawaii) is a pineapple with a face on it. A cartoony type pineapple with the kind of face they put on the old P-51 fighters in WWII.

You know there are no bad tattoos, or feminine ones, if that's what the client request. A "feminine" pineapple to you might be an in memory of a family member, or love lost.

Goodluck with your tattoo quest. Draw up something yourself, however crude, and take it to the tattoo artist as soon as you can. Go back in a few days and see what he comes up with.

I guess I am not picturing this? A pineapple with the shark mouth similar to the nose art on an old fighter plane. No matter what you do a bright colored pineapple will look like a pineapple even if you give it teeth? [Coffee]

Here's a few older published pieces, concepts and renderings. Aside from flash work I've also illustrated comics, as you can see in the styling, I use this to translate into the leather tooling, airbrush and custom paint work I do on cycles and hot rods.

If you're interested, let me know and I'll get started. I keep the originals and give you color copies front and back with line art for the tattoo artist on the back. This helps preserve the original for my portfolio/data-log and also keeps it from being destroyed so if extra copies are needed the control sample is available to do so.
